Drilling Fluid Systems: Natural Gel - Non Dispersed GYP

The NON DISPERSED GYP systems have been used in Western Canada as an effective means of drilling massive anhydrite - usually better flow properties and less expense are incurred when using this system. Chemically they are similar to the NATURAL GEL/POTASSIUM CHLORIDE (KCl) with gypsum (CaSO₄) replacing the KCl.
