Offshore Drilling Fluid Technicians (East Coast of Canada)
Are you an experienced Drilling Fluids Technician? Are you from Eastern Canada? Do you want to relocate to the Maritimes? Interested in being part of the dynamic Offshore Oil & Gas industry?
We are in the initial planning stage for expansion of our business unit in Eastern Canada and will require experienced people for our Newfoundland and Labrador operations based in St. John’s. We want to hear from experienced people who are interested in a staff or contract position.

Depending on the success and growth of the East Coast industry, multiple positions may be available. We will have a requirement for both junior and senior drilling fluids technicians to compliment an experienced staff already active offshore Newfoundland.
Successful candidates will have:
Senior Fluids Technicians

10+ years experience in the drilling fluid industry, 5 years offshore.

Experience with synthetic and water based mud systems.

Certification in offshore medical, BST, H2S Alive, IWCF well control or equivalent, Experience in HTHP Wells, solids control. A background in the east coast oil & gas industry. Knowledge of pressure vessels, equipment maintenance, shipping & receiving, purchasing, operations, OH&S committee.

Job Description: Q’Max Solutions Inc. requires a qualified and skilled Operations / Technical Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience as base coordinator or project manager with international posting. Candidate should have done planning and supervising of complete Mud Engineering services of at least 5 Hi-Tech directional and horizontal wells with the Glycol / Amine mud systems. SOBM experience a definite asset.
Successful Candidate will have:
- Fifteen plus years drilling fluid experience
- Well versed in fluid hydraulics

- Day to day operations management of field personnel
- Perform mud design and prepare detailed mud program
- Support logistics management of equipment, materials and personnel related to the work, including customs clearance, transport and inspection
- Attending and contributing to daily operations meeting as required
- Participation in all tendering activities
Must have proven supervisor and training abilities in expatiate management position.
For the right applicant this position may be upgraded to Business Unit Manager.
